It is important (when a car has been booked for a specific journey) that all clients & passengers are ready at the agreed departure time to enable the driver to meet his obligation for later appointments with other scheduled customers.
The hirer of the vehicle is responsible for the conduct of all passengers travelling with BIG BLACK CARS and is responsible for -
a) Any loss of earnings as a result of injury to the driver.
b) Any damage caused to the interior and/or exterior of a vehicle on hire to them.
and will be billed accordingly for any valeting or repair work required in order to reinstate the vehicle to working order. Please note that photographic evidence will be taken at the time of the offence for insurance and evidence purposes. Food and drink may be consumed within our vehicles at the discretion of the chauffeur. Any unacceptable soiling or damage to the vehicle will be charged to your final bill.
All Airport transfers must be paid for in advance of the journey, this includes any return booking monies where applicable. For airport collections, the chauffeur will (on request from you) either -
a) Arrive in the vicinity of the terminal at flight landing time (we track flights real-time) and wait for your text/call to collect you from the door
b) Park in short term parking in order to meet and greet you and assist with your luggage to the car (parking costs are not included and will be charged).
If for whatever reason (this includes delayed flights), the chauffeur has to wait longer than a 45 minute period for Airport Transfers or a 15 minute period for all other journeys, then a £20.00 charge will incur for each additional 30 minutes waiting time. The only exception to this is package prices which are all-in costs for a fixed period to pick you up, drop you off and wait for you as much as you like within the prescribed maximum mileages.
Whilst every effort will always be made to arrive at the customer's destination or collection point punctually, BIG BLACK CARS shall not be held liable for late arrival or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control.
This includes, but is not limited to -
traffic congestion, severe weather conditions, vehicle breakdown or driver illness.
In the event of unforeseen delays or cancellation, BIG BLACK CARS will endeavour to contact the hirer by telephone or email to advise the issue and discuss & agree a suitable and reasonable solution.
It shall be the hirer's responsibility to allow adequate time to reach their destination. Our professional drivers are instructed not to break the laws of the road under any circumstances, and that includes speeding. We strongly recommend that our clients allow plenty of time for their journey and that travel insurance be taken out where appropriate to cover all eventualities.
Please note - this service is for a maximum of 4 passengers, and you must ensure your entire luggage is likely to fit - i.e., the entire quantity, and/or large, heavy and odd shaped items. If in any doubt, please check this with us before booking. If you are unsure and are local to us we can (on request and by arrangement only) call in to your address and ensure that your luggage fits ahead of the journey(s). Big Black Cars will not be liable for any issues or additional costs resulting from any client that has these issues, and you will still be charged for any journey or costs incurred in so doing.
Additional requests or alterations to the booking such as additional pick up points, change of destination etc, may be fulfilled at the chauffeurs discretion. However, in such cases any additional time or mileage incurred as a direct result of these requests will be subject to additional charges at the appropriate rate and this payment may need to be taken by cash or card for non-account customers prior to the alterations occuring.
Please ensure that all belongings that you are bringing with you have been accounted for before your chauffeur departs. In the event of any items being left in a vehicle after clients' departure, BIG BLACK CARS will try their best to return items as soon as possible, but cannot guarantee it will be the same day. Any costs incurred by us due to the return of items left in our vehicles must be repaid or collection from our offices can also be arranged.
